A free countdown tool with no accounts.
GGS ("we", "our", or "the site"), published at ggseason.com (formerly seasontimer.live), is a free game-season countdown tool. We do not require account registration or collect your name. If you choose to subscribe to a season-end alert, we collect your email address and the games you choose to follow. The third-party services we use to keep the site free — Google Analytics, Google AdSense and Ezoic — may also set cookies and collect certain usage data, as described below.
Season-end email alerts.
When you submit the alert form, we store your email address, the games you selected, your all-games preference, and the time of your submission. We use this information only to send one alert when a followed game's confirmed season is close to ending. We do not send a welcome email, newsletter, or unrelated marketing emails.
Subscription preferences are stored in Cloudflare D1. We use Resend to deliver the alert email. You can change the games you follow or unsubscribe at any time using the links included in every alert.
By submitting the form after seeing its notice and this policy, you ask us to provide these selected season-end alerts. You can withdraw that request at any time by unsubscribing.
Data collected by third-party services.
Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager)
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site traffic — for example, which game
pages are visited most and where visitors come from. Google Analytics sets cookies (such
as _ga and _ga_*) that persist for up to 2 years and collect:
- Pages visited and time spent on each page
- Approximate geographic location (country/region, derived from IP address)
- Browser type, operating system and device category
- Referring website or search engine
Individual IP addresses are anonymised before storage. Data is processed by Google LLC under their Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Google AdSense
We display ads served by Google AdSense (publisher ID: ca-pub-5911132180850496). AdSense uses cookies and similar technologies to serve ads that may be personalised based on your prior browsing activity across sites in Google's advertising network. AdSense may collect:
- Cookie identifiers used to match ads to interests
- IP address and approximate location
- Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)
Ad personalisation is controlled by Google. You can review and adjust your ad settings at adssettings.google.com, or opt out of interest-based advertising via the NAI opt-out tool.
Ezoic
We use Ezoic, an advertising and site analytics platform, whose scripts load on every page. Ezoic may set cookies and collect usage data — pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location derived from IP address, and interaction with any ads it serves — to measure site performance and to select and report on advertising. Ezoic and its advertising partners process this data under Ezoic's Privacy Policy, which also lists those partners and the choices available to you.
Amazon Associates
Some game pages carry links to gaming hardware on Amazon, marked Paid links. We participate in the Amazon Associates programme and earn a commission from qualifying purchases made through them. Clicking one takes you to Amazon, which sets its own cookies to attribute the visit; we receive only aggregate, anonymous reporting from Amazon and never learn what any individual bought. Where a store other than amazon.com is used, the link is redirected by Amazon's own OneLink script, loaded from z-na.amazon-adsystem.com and only on pages that carry these links.
Simply loading a page that contains these links does not send anything to Amazon — nothing is requested until you click, apart from the OneLink script itself where it is enabled.
Cookies on this site.
Cookies set on this site come from Google Analytics, Google AdSense, Ezoic, and — only if you click a paid link on a game page — Amazon. We do not set any first-party cookies ourselves. You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings; doing so will not affect the core countdown functionality of the site.
Access, correction, erasure.
EEA / UK residents (GDPR)
Under the General Data Protection Regulation you have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of, or object to the processing of, your personal data. For season alerts, you can unsubscribe or manage your selections directly from every alert. To make another request about subscription data, contact us at [email protected]. For analytics and advertising data processed by Google, you can use Google's data request process or contact your local data protection authority.
California residents (CCPA)
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act you have the right to know what personal information is collected about you, to opt out of the sale of personal information, and to request deletion. GGS does not sell personal information. You can delete your alert subscription with the unsubscribe link in any alert or contact us using the address above. The analytics and advertising data described above is processed by Google under their own CCPA obligations. To exercise rights related to that data, contact Google directly or visit Google's Privacy Policy.
How long data is kept.
Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months by default under our account settings. AdSense cookie lifetimes are set by Google and are typically up to 13 months; Ezoic's are set by Ezoic and described in its policy. We do not store analytics or advertising data on our own servers. We retain your alert email and preferences only while the subscription is active; using the unsubscribe link deletes the email, preferences and associated delivery records from our database.
Children's privacy.
GGS is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child under 13 has been tracked through this site, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Changes to this policy.
We will update this page if our data practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
