What's New in Frozen Trail
Frozen Trail is the biggest update Embark has shipped, built around a new map, new ARC threats and a reworked progression layer.
Pendola Pass and the Frigate
Pendola Pass is the seventh Arc Raiders map and the first beyond the peaks that wall in the Rust Belt: a frozen, multi-layered mountain settlement with Flash Freeze weather that punishes Raiders caught in the open. A Frigate patrol vessel can be boarded and explored, and three new ARC enemies join the roster: the Bully, the Skulker and the Hydra.
New weapons, gadgets and the Outpost
Two new guns arrive, the Stiletto battle rifle and the Bantam revolver, alongside Amplified weapon upgrades above Epic rarity. The Grappling Hook and Tether Launcher add new ways to move through the map, players get a customisable Outpost, and the Skill Tree has been reworked to reward specialisation over collecting every node.
Reward Pass replaces the Raider Deck
Raider Decks are gone. Frozen Trail launches a 60-level Reward Pass with a free track (Raider Tokens, outfits and cosmetics) and a Premium track of cosmetics only, with no weapons or gadgets behind the paywall. Every earlier Raider Deck is folded into a free Legacy Pass, so old rewards stay unlocked and missed ones can still be earned.
Before Frozen Trail Ends: What to Finish
Arc Raiders is an extraction shooter, so your stash, Raider XP and faction standing carry over between updates; gear is lost by dying in a raid, not by the calendar. What is time-boxed is event content.
The Frozen Trail Reward Pass
Work through the free track of the Frozen Trail Reward Pass while it is current, and decide early whether the Premium track is worth it to you. The Legacy Pass is not urgent: Embark has kept every older Raider Deck reward in it with no deadline.
The PvE toggle test
Embark is testing a PvE toggle that removes player damage from October 13 to October 20, 2026 (02:00 PT both days). Solos, Duos and Trios share each match, and Night Raids, the Hidden Bunker, the Locked Gate and the Frigate are excluded. Progress made there does not affect your PvPvE matchmaking, and Embark has said the test does not guarantee a permanent mode.
