Karel's Mothership and Trials

The final fight against Karel takes place in Karel's Mothership, a new Mega Dungeon with multiple boss encounters. Alongside it, Trials is a roguelite mode that opens once you unlock Hard mode: seven zones of rising difficulty, and after each round you pick one of 20 Variable Codes, modifiers that stay active for the rest of the run and can make or break it.

Raven and Transcendent Weapons

Raven, a former leader of Albion's underworld, fights with shotguns, repositions quickly and can summon a powerful Raven Form. She is the flagship reward of the Episode 1 pass, which also carries the Albion Heritage "Nightfall" Descendant skin and the game's first bike skin. The premium pass costs 500 Caliber.

Transcendent Weapons are now the highest weapon tier. The eleven launch weapons roll a Quality value between 1 and 400 on every drop and can come from 81 reward sources, from Normal missions up to Onslaught, Karel's Mothership and Trials.

Update 1.4.3: Ultimate Hailey

The September 17 update added Ultimate Hailey with three new skill modules (Dangerous Distance, Extreme Strike and Freezing Breakthrough), and Cradle of Evolution, a dungeon with a random starting point and eight combat zones; clearing any four opens the path to its commander, Separated Tarvos. It also made all eleven Transcendent Weapons tradable and added the first desertion penalty to Onslaught.

The Great Clash pass

The pass and its reward track belong to this episode. Tiers you have not reached or claimed when the next episode's pass replaces it are lost, including Raven, the Nightfall skin and the bike skin if you are relying on the pass for them.

Transcendent boosts

Early pass levels hand out Transcendent Weapon Acquisition Boosts (5% at level 1, 10% at level 30). They help most while you are still farming your first Transcendent Weapons, so it pays to claim them early rather than in the final week.

Event tokens

Event tokens belong to their event, not to the episode, and each event notice on the official site says what happens to leftovers. For the New Year's Luck Shop, for example, Nexon deleted unused tokens in an update after the event had closed. Event rewards sent to your Mailbox also expire, so claim them as they arrive rather than at the end of the episode.

What to prioritise

• Finish the pass levels that hold Raven and the cosmetics you want.
• Clear Karel's Mothership while the matchmaking population is at its peak.
• Use Trials runs for Transcendent drops, since the mode is one of their sources.
