What Is the Curse of the Allflame League in Path of Exile?

Path of Exile: Curse of the Allflame (3.29) is a deep-sea themed challenge league that sends players into sunken depths to battle cursed foes with the volatile power of the Allflame. Revealed during GGG Live on July 16, 2026, it is the next major expansion for Path of Exile 1 after the Mirage league.

The headline system change is a socket overhaul: any Skill Gem can now be placed in any equipment socket regardless of color, and all sockets are usable by default. If a gem's color matches a colored socket, it gains an additional +10% Quality — a major flexibility boost to gearing and build crafting.

The expansion also delivers significant reworks to Abyss and Legion, the return of the Mercenaries of Trarthus as core content, an all-new endgame system, and another new Ascendancy Class for the Scion.

Reworked Endgame and Content Returns

Alongside the Allflame league mechanic, 3.29 reworks the Abyss and Legion encounters and reintroduces the Mercenaries of Trarthus into the core game, giving the Atlas fresh reasons to map. GGG has teased an all-new endgame system layered on top of the existing Atlas progression.

Challenge Rewards

Players who complete the league's challenge system earn cosmetics themed around the deep-sea Allflame aesthetic — armour sets, weapon effects, and portal skins. The themed Kirac's Vault Pass offers additional cosmetics through the seasonal pass track.

Path of Exile Kirac's Vault Pass

Kirac's Vault Pass is Path of Exile's seasonal cosmetic pass, available each league for 300 Points (approximately $30 USD). Each Vault Pass is themed around the current league — the 3.29 Curse of the Allflame Vault Pass features deep-sea and Allflame-inspired cosmetics, weapon effects, and portal skins. Unlike a traditional battle pass, Vault Pass rewards are not time-gated by levels; they are unlocked by completing any challenge in-game.

Path of Exile's base game is completely free-to-play — the Vault Pass and supporter packs are purely cosmetic. All gameplay content, league mechanics, atlas passives, and skill gems are available without purchase. Supporter Packs are sold separately from the Vault Pass and typically range from $30 to $480 USD, offering additional cosmetics and supporter points for the in-game microtransaction shop.
